What a Founders Licence is

A Founders Licence is a single payment for an Arqo account. It is not a subscription, and buying one never starts one. This page is the plain-English record of what it includes; it is the same text shown on the Founders page at the point of purchase.

1. What lasts for as long as Arqo runs

Every feature of your tier, at that tier’s limits, with no monthly fee:

• The editor, on web, iOS and Mac, with one sign-in and real-time sync.
• Unlimited scripts, and import and export in FDX, Fountain and PDF.
• Story Memory, Beat Boards, the Character Bible, and the rest of your tier’s feature set.
• Real-time co-writing at your tier’s co-writer limit.
• The Founding Member badge on your account.

“For as long as Arqo runs” is meant literally, and it is the honest bound of any software promise. If Arqo ever shuts down, every script exports in Fountain and FDX, on every tier including Free, for as long as the service is up.

2. What has an end date

The AI allowance. For 36 months from the date of purchase, your account receives the same monthly AI allowance a subscriber on your tier receives, served on Arqo’s own API key. Your billing page shows the exact end date from the day you buy.

We do not describe this licence as a “lifetime” deal, because this half of it has a date.

3. What happens after that date

Nothing is taken away except the allowance served on our key. Your tier, your scripts, sync, export, collaboration and every feature continue. AI keeps working in one of two ways: connect your own provider API key, or buy a token pack. You are never moved onto a subscription, and we will never bill your card again for this licence.

4. What is not included

• Arqo Max, the writers’-room product, is sold per seat when it ships, and is not part of this licence.
• Paid marketplace add-ons, where they exist, are priced separately.
• The licence belongs to one account and cannot be transferred or resold.

5. Price, seats and the window

Pro is $125 for the first 100 Pro seats and $149 after that. Studio is $299. 500 seats are offered in total across both tiers, and the offer closes when those seats are taken or when Arqo launches publicly, whichever happens first. Prices are in US dollars; local tax may be added at checkout, and the total is always shown before you pay.

6. Refunds, and how a licence can end

Fourteen days, no questions asked, through Paddle. See the refund policy. A refund or a chargeback ends the licence, because the purchase that created it has been reversed. That is the only way a licence ends other than the account itself being closed.

7. Who you are buying from
